A/Prof Priya Sumithran

Associate Professor Priya Sumithran is an endocrinologist and clinician researcher. She is clinical lead of obesity medicine at Alfred Health and head of the obesity and metabolic medicine research group at the School of Translational Medicine, Monash University. Her clinical work focuses on the care of people with obesity and associated diseases, and her research interests are in the neuroendocrine regulation of appetite and eating behaviours, the clinical application of medications and surgery for metabolic diseases, and models of care for chronic disease management.
