Kathryn Williams
Kathryn Williams is a physician-researcher with extensive experience in obesity and metabolic health. She graduated medicine with first class honours from the University of New South Wales in 2001 and completed Endocrine training in 2012 and a PhD at the University of Sydney entitled, ‘The Clinical Relevance of Non-Invasive Measures of Liver Health and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) in Diabetes Mellitus’ in 2016. She has been Head of the Department of Endocrinology at Nepean Hospital since 2021.
Kathryn is Clinical Lead and Manager of Australia’s first lifespan public obesity service, the Nepean Blue Mountains Family Metabolic Health Service (FMHS) and is now working to enhance access and quality of care for people living with severe and complicated obesity.
