Amanda Brandon
Dr Brandon completed her PhD in 2007 at the University of New South Wales under the supervision of Dr Karen Gibson investigating the Consequences of an altered intrauterine environment on the offspring's renal, cardiovascular and renin angiotensin systems. She then did her postdoc at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research with Profs. Ted Kraegen and Gregory Cooney investigating the development of obesity and insulin resistance, with particular focus on nutritional and genetic models. In 2016 she moved to the University of Sydney to continue this research theme and in 2019 joined the group of Prof. Stephen Simpson to investigate the role of nutrition in metabolic health and aging.
